Mehboob serves as the McGuireWoods London Office’s money laundering reporting officer and is also the head of the London Office’s equity capital markets group.

He has extensive experience is advising on public and private mergers and acquisitions (including cross-border takeovers), Official List and AIM listings, UK and EU securities and financial services law matters (including Prospectus and Financial Promotions rules, Disclosure and Transparency rules, Market Abuse and Insider Dealing rules and MiFiD requirements), private equity, venture capital and debt financings, Islamic finance and corporate governance matters. In addition, he also focuses on the planning and implementation of cross-border restructuring projects involving multinationals, including divesture restructuring and post-acquisition integrations and supply chain restructuring.

Mehboob has also advised clients ranging from multinationals to SMEs on international data transfers and general data privacy matters, joint ventures, franchise and distribution structuring, real estate transactions and financing, business immigration and anti-money laundering compliance.

According to UK Legal 500 (2011), Mehboob is recommended and “attracts high praise” from clients for Corporate and M&A: Smaller Deals up to £50m.

Mehboob regularly publishes updates on the AIM Market, UK Takeover Code, Insider Dealings and Insolvency Law matters for LNI, an association of international law firms.
