Jason focuses his practice on providing solutions for complex business and legal issues impacting healthcare and life sciences providers and supplies. Jason regularly structures mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, syndications, divestitures and private placements implicating various regulatory compliance issues commonly associated with such transactions. Jason represents a variety of academic medical centers, physician group practices, dialysis and nephrology providers, post-acute care companies, ambulatory surgery centers, medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers. Jason’s practice focuses heavily on providing transactional and regulatory counseling to long term acute care hospitals, physician-owned hospitals and dialysis and nephrology providers.

Jason regularly provides guidance on physician self-referral prohibitions and anti-kickback issues, the corporate practice of medicine, MMSEA-related issues, the LTACH 25% Rule, fee splitting, false claims act matters, provider licensing, change of ownership and control, acquiring certificates of need, physician employment and recruitment, compliance with The Joint Commission and other accreditation standards, hospital and medical staff bylaw and practice related matters, and other regulatory compliance issues.

Jason authors a newsletter and blog entitled, Greis Guide to LTACHs addressing issues of importance to long-term acute care hospitals, and serves as co-editor-in-chief of Health Care Law Monthly, a LexisNexis publication.
