We have served as bond counsel and tax counsel and have proven skills in developing unique and innovative solutions to difficult tax and credit issues. We have also served as counsel to healthcare institutions, as underwriter’s counsel and as lender’s counsel, and have expertise in negotiating complex financing structures, including master indentures with obligated groups and negative pledges on property. We have expertise in successfully completing innovative financing techniques, such as variable rate demand and "soft put" bonds and multi-jurisdictional debt offerings.

Real Estate

McGuireWoods provides advice on all types of healthcare related real estate matters, including acquisitions, leasing, financing, land use, and zoning. We have experience working with architecture and construction companies to build and modify healthcare facilities’ physical structures.
