Mr. Visintin practices within the firm's Restructuring and Insolvency Department focusing on cross-border insolvency, bankruptcy and reconstruction. He has primarily been involved in managing multijurisdictional bankruptcy and restructuring transactions from inception to closing for insolvency practitioners, distress funds, corporate and UK, and foreign asset-based lenders.
- Acting on numerous cross-border insolvency transactions including Landsbanki Islands hf acting for the London branch including negotiating with The Treasury for the payment of £100m needed to provide emergency financing. Advising on matters related to cross-border insolvency issues arising from the insolvency of a number of Icelandic banks. Advising on a number of restructuring and insolvency related matters in the UK and cross-border including Sonas Automotive.
- Acting for insolvency practitioners on administrations, liquidations and restructuring matters including: Lola Cars Limited (UK, US and France); Berkeley Berry & Birch; Deutsche Nickel (UK/Germany); Hans Brochier (UK/Germany); London and Provincial Factors Limited.
- Acting for Asset Based Lenders on all aspects of their business from formation and drafting of documentation to insolvency and restructuring of clients.
- Actively involved in the Senior Life Settlement (SLS) sector. Advising on the acquisition of and subsequent formation of structures backed by SLS Portfolios. Experience includes matters arising in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden and Iceland.
- Experience includes matters arising in the United Advising on restructuring and removal of pension fund deficits from corporate balance sheets.
