Ms. Johnston practices in the areas of business law, with emphasis on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate law, and technology licensing. She regularly represents buyers and sellers in the negotiation, documentation and consummation of mergers and acquisitions throughout the United States and other areas including Canada and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. While most recently the general counsel for Florida Rock Industries, Inc., a NYSE listed public company, she handled its sale to the leading construction aggregates company in the United States, a $4.6 billion transaction.

She regularly advises management on matters including governance issues, domestic and international supply and distribution contracts, mining leases and logistics contracts. Her experience includes representing clients in a variety of industries, including construction materials and related concerns such as ready mix concrete and cement operations, food and beverage wholesale distribution, manufacturing and licensing, health care and transportation concerns.
