Mr. Jeffcoat has served as bond counsel to the state of South Carolina, and a number of its agencies and political subdivisions, for traditional governmental general obligation and revenue bond issues.

During his career, he has had periods of concentration in the following areas: private activity bonds for small issues, environmental and solid waste disposal, and multifamily housing facilities and projects; hospital revenue bonds for governmental and 501(c)(3) entities; revenue bonds for public power entities; and most recently, financings for public schools.

In addition to serving as bond counsel, he has acted as counsel to underwriters, trustees, credit facility providers and other parties involved in bond issues. His practice has led to involvement in other governmental issues including state and local taxation, legislation, public contracts and procurement.
