Ms. Trenda regularly advises employers on a range of benefits matters including qualified and non-qualified plan design and administration, health and welfare issues and compliance matters, including IRS and DOL audits as well as the use of government sponsored correction programs. Specifically, she has assisted clients with drafting and implementing new retirement and welfare plans, restructuring retiree medical programs, terminating employee benefit plans, reviewing executive compensation arrangements and negotiating vendor agreements and trust agreements. She often addresses employee benefits issues during mergers and acquisitions. She has written and presented on a variety of issues, including ERISA fiduciary obligations.
