Mr. Riley is co-chairman of McGuireWoods' Health Care Department, which is ranked by the American Health Lawyers Association as the sixth largest health care department in the country. His practice encompasses general corporate and health care law. He handles general corporate counseling, with a particular emphasis on complex transactional matters for hospitals and outpatient service providers, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and third party financing.
He also counsels health care providers and companies to the health care industry on health care regulatory issues including third party reimbursement consultation and proceedings, fraud and abuse counseling, medical staff issues, corporate restructuring, managed care structuring issues, alternative delivery systems, and matters related to the Medicare ESRD program.
Mr. Riley’s clients include a wide range of participants in the health care industry including hospitals and health systems; ambulatory care providers including dialysis facilities and ambulatory surgery centers; multi-specialty and single specialty medical practices; suppliers to the industry including pharmaceutical companies and medical supply companies; and MCOs.
