Mr. Lain's environmental practice focuses primarily on issues associated with business transactions and development, such as environmental due diligence, wetlands permitting (including the associated issues related to endangered species, NEPA and the Natural Historic Preservation Act), brownfields redevelopment, and hazardous and solid waste liability. He has considerable experience advising the primary parties on all sides of such transactions, including buyers, sellers, lenders, landlords and tenants. He also has extensive national and international experience in mining and oil and gas development projects, as well as water and wastewater privatization projects.
