Mr. Neal advises businesses and their owners on the federal income tax aspects of a broad range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, reorganizations, debt offerings, disputes with taxing authorities, and general business tax planning. He also regularly advises clients on tax issues relating to new markets tax credits and renewable energy projects, including production tax credits, investment tax credits and federal grants. He is a member of the Tax Council of the Virginia Bar Association.
