Mr. Anderson is a trial lawyer who also serves as managing partner of McGuireWoods' Raleigh office. He represents commercial entities involved in litigating matters, as well as health care practitioners and institutions, pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers. He is frequently called upon to present continuing education seminars for attorneys and law school classes, most often discussing issues relating to evidence and trial practice.

Mr. Anderson has tried numerous catastrophic cases with claimed exposures in the tens of millions of dollars. A portion of his practice has been in the area of mass torts, including litigation arising from the Imperial Food Products, Hamlet, N.C., in 1991; the crash of United Airlines Flight 232 in Sioux City, Iowa; breast implants; diet drugs; Thimerosal; and asbestos cases in both North Carolina and federal MDL proceedings.
