Mr. Orlic's practice focuses on all aspects of real estate work with primary emphasis on commercial acquisitions, property finance and property management both in the UK and mainland Europe. He has represented various institutional investors, investment banks and a variety of commercial real estate investors. In the UK, he has a broad range of commercial property experience, having recently focused on development and structured finance deals for both lender and borrower. In mainland Europe, recent transactions have focused on central and south east Europe, having worked closely with Merrill Lynch in Belgrade, Serbia. He also represents offshore investors on residential acquisitions in the UK.
- Acting for Banif Bank in relation to the production, negotiation and perfection of security over a multimillion pound residential development project in London.
- Acting for Rabobank in relation to the UK property aspects of a multimillion pound refinance.
- Acting for HSBC in relation to the perfection of security over a multi-million pound commercial property in London.
- Acting for a U.S. Investment Bank in a €120 million shopping centre acquisition and development in Zagreb, Croatia.
- Acting for U.S. Investment Bank in the management of a shopping centre in Belgrade, Serbia.
- Acting for UK Investment Fund in the acquisition of substantial property portfolios within the CEE region.
- Acting for a U.S. Investment Fund in the £320 million pound acquisition of two prestigious office buildings in London's West End.
- Acting for a U.S. investment fund in relation to its £420 million acquisition of a UK shopping centre.
- Acting for a U.S. investment fund in the €210 million joint venture acquisition of a shopping centre in Istanbul, Turkey.
- Acting for Liberty International, a major property FTSE 100 company, in the management and coordination of its shopping centre portfolio, including the Lakeside, Harlequin, Potteries and Eldon Square shopping centre.
