Mr. Grant's practice concentrates on corporate finance, corporate transactions, and technology transactions. He represents publicly held and privately owned companies in various business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, venture capital, structuring of ventures, and general corporate counseling. He has particular experience representing start-up and emerging growth companies.
He handles a variety of transactions involving corporate sponsorships of professional sports teams, leagues and organizations, including league sponsorships, team sponsorships, television and other media rights agreements, and advertising and marketing agreements.
He also serves as outside general counsel to privately held companies, who call on him to provide general corporate advice on many different business matters. In advising those clients, he often acts as the point person to, and works closely with, attorneys in other departments of the firm, including those with experience in labor and employment, trade secrets and intellectual property protection, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, tax, and complex business litigation.
Civic and Community Activities
Mr. Grant has provided pro bono legal services for various organizations, including the Los Angeles County Bar Domestic Violence Project. He is currently counsel to Garden School Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to creating teaching gardens and related projects in schools serving underprivileged communities.
