Mr. Pristave’s work in the health care industry includes representing dialysis facilities, ambulatory surgical centers, hospitals and health systems, multi-specialty practices, specialty medical societies, biotech and health care manufacturers and investment bankers. This representation includes acting as counsel on mergers and acquisitions transactions, joint venture structuring, venture capital financing, complex commercial negotiations, and regulatory structuring and compliance. He has also supervised the defense of a number of major health care investigations.
He has been involved in various continuing legal education programs sponsored by such institutions as Northwestern University Law School, Loyola Center for Healthcare Law and the American Health Lawyers Association. He is a board member and past president of the Renal Physicians’ Association Research and Education Foundation, and a member of the board of editors of Matthew Bender’s Healthcare Law Monthly. He is also co-legal editor of Nephrology News and Issues. Mr. Pristave is a regularly featured speaker at national conferences on health care issues. He is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and board of partners.
