Managing partner of McGuireWoods, Mr. Cabaniss concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and commercial lending, banking and creditors' rights with an emphasis on bankruptcy, commercial workouts and real estate workouts. He has extensive experience in complex real estate lending transactions and the representation of financial institutions, corporations, partnerships and individuals in all areas of bankruptcy and workout related work.
With respect to bankruptcy issues, he concentrates on all aspects of chapter 11 reorganizations with an emphasis on complex transactions, representing secured creditors and debtors. With respect to workouts, he focuses on debt restructuring and the negotiation and drafting of workout, forbearance, and settlement agreements.
