Managing partner of the firm's Atlanta office, Mr. Marianes practices in the areas of corporate law; organization and capitalization of business entities; mergers and acquisitions; intellectual property identification, protection and commercialization; outsourcing and privatization transactions; franchising; entertainment, publishing, art, sponsorship and ancillary rights transactions; closely held and family businesses and business succession planning; and state-run lotteries.

He advises and represents entrepreneurial and middle market companies in all aspects of business transactions. He has been lead counsel in more than $4 billion of outsourcing/privatization transactions.

As part of his commercial and intellectual property practice, Mr. Marianes has been lead outside technology, trademark and Internet counsel to a television network, a professional sports organization, a major cellular carrier, a national franchisor, and numerous other clients. He has handled intellectual property asset management, intellectual property audits and numerous trademark, copyright, licensing and other intellectual property matters for clients in many industries, including one of America's largest generators of energy and its affiliates.

Mr. Marianes has also conducted strategic and business planning and business succession planning consulting engagements for a wide variety of professional services and other firms. He also advises the Greek Orthodox Church and the largest Hellenic nonprofit organization.
