A former Virginia attorney general, Mr. Broaddus focuses on commercial litigation. He has coordinated or participated in a variety of disputes including federal and state constitutional, contract, commercial credit, public finance, libel, land use, local government, employer-employee, products liability, government contracts and environmental. He has argued numerous cases in the Supreme Court of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, and two cases in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Broaddus is a graduate of Washington & Lee University and the University of Virginia School of Law. Following law school, he served as clerk to the Honorable Harry L. Carrico. He is a past member of the Judicial Council of Virginia, and he has been elected to the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is also a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation whose membership is limited to one percent of the active and associate membership of the Virginia State Bar. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. A recent survey conducted of Richmond lawyers named Mr. Broaddus as the region's leading attorney in the area of government and municipal law. He is included in Best Lawyers in America and the Virginia Business list of best litigators.
