Ms. Manning is a partner in the McGuireWoods Antitrust and Trade Regulation Department and also co-leads the Life Sciences Industry Group. She has spoken on numerous antitrust and life sciences topics.

She has handled criminal and civil antitrust matters for international and U.S. companies, as well as individuals, in federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States. Her cases have involved international cartels, price fixing, market allocation, bid rigging, tying arrangements, bundling, monopolization, attempted monopolization, monopoly leveraging, Robinson-Patman Act claims, and antitrust conspiracies. She also counsels clients regarding antitrust matters.

She has designed and implemented national and international compliance programs. She has spoken and written on antitrust, government investigations, compliance and privilege issues. Along with a McGuireWoods team, Ms. Manning helped secure a May 2010 victory on behalf of Jo Tankers before the U.S. Supreme Court in Stolt-Nielsen v. Animalfeeds Int'l, 130 S. Ct. 1758 (2010), which held that the respondents could not be compelled under the Federal Arbitration Act to engage in class arbitration where the arbitration agreement was silent on the issue of class arbitration.

Her practice also concentrates on complex commercial litigation, including class actions, commodities litigation, multidistrict litigation, healthcare litigation, civil RICO litigation, and intellectual property disputes. Her responsibilities have included arbitrations, trials, first chair trial experience and appeals. Her arbitration practice has included international, domestic, and class action arbitrations before various tribunals.

She was featured in the May 2009 Global Competition Review issue on Women In Antitrust, in the 2010 Super Lawyer magazine, and was one of six attorneys profiled as The Next Generation of Leaders in the Chicago Lawyer June 2009 issue. She was the 2007-2008 chairman of the Chicago Bar Association's Antitrust Law Committee. She was named to Lawdragon's 500 New Stars, New Worlds list, and Lawdragon's 3000 Leading Lawyers in America. She received the National Association of Women Business Owners 2006 Corporate Woman of Achievement Award.
