Mr. Taylor's practice focuses on the income tax aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, partnerships, limited liability companies and other business combinations.
He has an extensive background in federal, state and international taxation, having served as vice president - taxes of General Signal Corp. and Elf Aquitaine, Inc., both multinational corporations. His experience includes global tax management, dozens of large acquisitions and divestitures - a number in excess of $1 billion, domestic and foreign joint ventures, and diverse international tax matters such as transfer pricing and foreign tax credit planning.
He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1971, and his master of laws in taxation from the New York University School of Law in 1978. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and his master’s of business administration degree from the University of Connecticut.
