McGuireWoods’ Julian Veintimilla to Clerk at U.S. District Court in Ohio

March 24, 2021

McGuireWoods New York associate Julian Veintimilla will begin a clerkship with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on April 5, 2021. His last day with the firm is March 26.

In his new role, Veintimilla’s responsibilities will include assisting U.S. District Judge Dan A. Polster with legal research to aid in the judge’s decision-making process, drafting orders and opinions, and helping the judge during courtroom proceedings.

Veintimilla, who joined McGuireWoods’ Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department in 2019, represents clients in complex securities matters, focusing on internal investigations, regulatory enforcement proceedings and defense of financial institutions.

“I have greatly enjoyed my time at McGuireWoods and feel I have developed tremendously as an attorney in my two years here. I am grateful for the opportunities the firm has provided me and for the support and encouragement I’ve received along the way,” Veintimilla said. “I am excited for this new opportunity, but I will also greatly miss the talented and hard-working individuals whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with at McGuireWoods.”

“Julian has been an asset to our team and to our clients. We wish him well on his clerkship,” said Todd Steggerda, chair of McGuireWoods’ Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department.
