Since 1998, our Atlanta office has offered a wide range of services with a particular focus on labor and employment, commercial litigation, corporate services, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, health care, taxation, and commercial lending and leasing. This office also plays a strong role in the firm's diversity efforts.

McGuireWoods won the 1999 Thomas L. Sager Award from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association for its commitment and innovative approach to the hiring, retention and promotion of minority attorneys. In addition, we sponsor an innovative legal internship program at Spelman College in Atlanta, a predominately African-American institution, for academically superior third- or fourth-year college students interested in pursuing a legal career.

The Atlanta office has launched a project allowing us to give back to members of the clergy who have given so much of themselves. “Thy Will Be Done” is McGuireWoods' initiative to offer a free basic will and testament, appropriate health care directives and related financial powers to any full-time, licensed clergy member of any faith, denomination or belief in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
