At McGuireWoods, Ms. Smith's focus is on guiding the human resources team to support the firm in achieving its strategic human resources goals.

Ms. Smith has 17 years of experience in human resource management positions within law firms, including the San Francisco Bay Area offices of Bingham McCutchen, Kirkland & Ellis and Morrison & Foerster. Before joining McGuireWoods, Ms. Smith served as the Human Resources Director for Boies, Schiller & Flexner, where she was based in New York City. Ms. Smith earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, where she was also an accomplished athlete and was recently inducted into the University of Michigan Track & Field Hall of Fame.
