Airport and Air Cargo Financings

More people than ever are flying. For your airport to thrive, you must keep up with consumer demand, firm up relationships with airlines that use your facility, and attract new ones. This usually means expanding or building new facilities.

McGuireWoods has considerable experience in financings for airports and related projects, including financings for Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Capital Airport Region Commission (Richmond International Airport), Charlottesville/Albemarle Airport Authority, and Hartsfield International Airport.

In addition to general airport revenue-backed projects for airport terminals and similar improvements, we have also worked on innovative financings for related parking facilities, rental car facilities and other projects secured by novel revenue sources including customer facility charges and passenger facility charges.

We have been engaged in public and private offerings for such financings on both a taxable and tax-exempt basis, and have worked on state level airport revolving fund and pooled financings.
