Collectively Bargained Benefits and Multiemployer Plans

We regularly represent employers in arbitrations involving pension and benefit claims arising under collective bargaining agreements and employment agreements, including disputes over collectively bargained pensions, benefit calculations, “shutdown pensions,” and multiemployer plan withdrawal liability. For example, we have represented two Fortune 500 companies in multiple arbitrations against several unions involving claims that certain corporate sales triggered liability for "shutdown" pension benefits.
