McGuireWoods LLP announced that 11 of its lawyers in North Carolina were recognized in 11 categories of
Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite.”
The magazine annually sends ballots to each member of the North Carolina State Bar, asking for the lawyers to rate the best attorneys they have observed in action. The lawyers who receive the most votes are listed in the 2009 Legal Elite, which is comprised of only 3 percent of the lawyers in the state bar.
The McGuireWoods lawyers who were recognized include:
Henry L. Kitchin, Jr.
Robert Hugh Pryor
Scott P. Vaughn
Lynwood Mallard (Charlotte)
Landis Wade, Jr. (Charlotte)
Douglas W. Ey,
W. Simmons (Charlotte)
Michael Wilson (Charlotte)
Young Guns (Under 40)
Benne Hutson, a partner in McGuireWoods’ Charlotte office, was honored in the Business Legal Elite’s Hall of Fame list. That means he received the most votes in the category of Environmental Law in a previous year of the magazine’s listing, and is now a permanent member of Legal Elite Hall of Fame.
