McGuireWoods LLP presented a $3,500 scholarship to each of four law students
at the Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys in Law and Business,
Inc.’s annual conference March 17 - 19, 2010, at The Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta.
The institute helps women of color attorneys develop their careers and manage
diversity issues in the workplace.

The firm has been the scholarship sponsor for the past five years, as well as
a platinum level conference sponsor. The scholarships were presented by
McGuireWoods’ attorney Halima
Horton, a lawyer in the firm's Labor and Employment Department, who served
on the conference planning committee and chaired the scholarship committee.
