McGuireWoods Adds Financial Services Litigation Partner in New York

May 12, 2014

Noreen Kelly-Dynega has joined McGuireWoods as a partner in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation Department in New York.

Kelly-Dynega brings extensive experience advising clients on regulatory investigations by federal and state authorities, and in litigating complex commercial disputes for financial institutions, private equity funds, and other businesses in state and federal courts. She joins McGuireWoods from the New York office of Latham & Watkins LLP.

She has advised clients on identifying and mitigating risk associated with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and about anti-corruption compliance. She has conducted internal investigations on behalf of audit committees and other entities to assess allegations of securities fraud, accounting fraud, FCPA violations and embezzlement. She also has evaluated and designed anti-corruption compliance regimes for public companies, financial institutions and portfolio companies and has conducted anti-corruption training for executives and operational employees.

“Noreen will strengthen our capability to serve financial institution, private equity, and accounting firm clients,” said Brad Kutrow, chairman of McGuireWoods’ Financial Services Litigation Department. “Her experience in those areas will complement our New York litigation and investigations practice.”

“Noreen brings extensive experience in financial services, white collar and securities litigation and we are delighted to welcome her to McGuireWoods and the New York office,” added Philip Goldstein, managing partner of the firm’s New York office.

Kelly-Dynega earned her law degree from the New York University School of Law in 1998, and her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Texas in 1995. She served as a law clerk to Justice Marie L. Garibaldi of the New Jersey Supreme Court during the 1999-2000 court term. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum.
