McGuireWoods ranks among the top four law firms representing Fortune 500 companies in Corporate Counsel magazine’s 2015 survey of “Who Represents America’s Biggest Companies,” and tops the list of firms companies turned to for torts litigation matters in the past year.
McGuireWoods is recognized as a leader in five key practice areas covered by the annual survey. In addition to its top ranking for torts litigation, the firm also ranks fifth for labor and employment litigation, seventh for both labor litigation and securities litigation, and 15th for contracts litigation. Those rankings helped the firm surge to fourth position on the overall chart, up eight places from last year.
McGuireWoods ranks second among full-service law firms in this year’s survey, with the top two spots held by firms that focus primarily on labor and employment work.
The rankings were compiled by American Lawyer Media’s Legal Intelligence team based on a review of court records and regulatory filings of Fortune 500 companies in the 2014 calendar year. The published rankings, which are featured in the October edition of ALM’s Corporate Counsel magazine, list the firms that are most mentioned in each practice area.
