McGuireWoods’ Brussels office celebrated 25 years of McGuireWoods’ presence
in Belgium with a gala client reception amid one of the world’s most prized
collections of vintage cars at Brussels’ Autoworld museum on Wednesday (November
18, 2015). Evan Bayh, a partner in the Washington office and former U.S. senator
and governor of Indiana, headlined the celebration.
The firm was host to clients Afton Chemical, Banque Thaler, BNP Paribas,
Embassy of Canada in Belgium, Ford of Europe, Honeywell, JSR Corporation, Lundin
Mining Corporation, NIS Gazprom NEFT, Pluriomics and Smithfield Foods. They were
among the more than 70 guests who attended the event.

Bayh offered his perspectives on the global economy, U.S. foreign policy and
domestic politics, as well as last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris that killed
129 people. A Democrat who has endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential
race, Bayh also predicted that Donald Trump would not win a term in the White
House next year.
