McGuireWoods Atlanta Lawyers Named Georgia ‘Super Lawyers’ and ‘Rising Stars’

Five McGuireWoods partners from the firm’s Atlanta office have been named Georgia “Super Lawyers” for 2015 and three of the firm’s lawyers have been named Georgia “Rising Stars.” Lawyer rating service Super Lawyers will publish this year’s survey findings in its Georgia Super Lawyers magazine and in the March edition of Atlanta magazine.

McGuireWoods’ 2015 Georgia Super Lawyers:

  • Peter Farley, Employment and Labor. Farley represents clients on benefits litigation, employment compliance and litigation, employment discrimination claims, restrictive covenants, business torts, unfair competition, and employment agreements, including negotiating senior executive employment contracts, severance agreements and buyouts. He also has extensive experience negotiating and managing contract manufacturing deals, financings, complex licensing, information technology, outsourcing, and supplier agreements.
  • Fred T. Isaf, Business/Corporate. Isaf advises corporations, partnerships and limited-liability companies in securities, healthcare, international trade, professional services, real estate and other industries. He has a particular focus on private equity fund advisors in connection with private equity and hedge fund investments, with an emphasis on investment advisors to state pension funds and other institutional investors. He also focuses on real estate operating companies which develop, acquire, lease manage and finance multifamily, retail and office portfolios.
  • Hilary P. Jordan, Banking. Jordan, the managing partner of McGuireWoods’ Atlanta office, focuses his practice on leveraged finance transactions. He regularly represents arrangers, agents, lenders and borrowers in syndicated and non-syndicated leveraged finance transactions, and he has extensive experience in handling credit transactions involving borrowers in the building materials, healthcare, media and entertainment, retail and timberlands, and transportation areas.
  • Victor L. Moldovan, Healthcare. Moldovan’s healthcare clients include ambulatory surgery centers, physician clinics, hospitals, radiation therapy centers, imaging providers, home health companies, hospice agencies, and independent physician associations. His practice includes compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations, litigation before administrative bodies and state and federal courts, managed care, medical peer review issues, drafting and commenting on legislation and regulations, testimony on healthcare laws, certificate-of-need applications and appeals, employment-related issues, contract preparation and negotiation, trademark and trade name disputes.
  • Thomas R. Walker, Bankruptcy: Business. Walker’s practice includes representing creditor and debtor clients in bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy workout matters. His creditor representations include lending institutions, energy companies, real estate companies, and other secured and unsecured lenders. His debtor representations include a major healthcare company, a supermarket chain, and the largest auto hauling company in North America.

  • Josiah Bancroft, Real Estate. Bancroft, a partner, assists clients in planning, structuring, negotiating, and consummating a wide range of acquisition, development, financing and leasing transactions. He has worked extensively with developers, capital funds and retailers in the development, leasing, and disposition of shopping centers, multi-family properties, office buildings, mixed-use development projects, and outparcels. He has also been responsible for the formation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other entities for the purposes of owning, developing, and managing various real estate activities.
  • Jaliya S. Faulkner, Securities Litigation. Faulkner, an associate, focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on securities regulatory enforcement matters. She has experience representing clients in the financial services industry in state and federal courts. She has also represented investment advisers, broker-dealers and individuals in a variety of securities matters, including regulatory enforcement and litigation involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and state regulatory agencies.
  • Michael G. Parisi, Securities and Corporate Finance. Parisi, a partner, represents lenders and borrowers in debt financings, including syndicated and non-syndicated leveraged finance transactions, debt restructurings, acquisition financings, cash-flow and asset-backed financings, asset-based and cash-flow lending, asset securitizations and debt subordination relationships. He has specific industry experience in healthcare, media, communications, retail and manufacturing. He has represented borrowers, national and international banks, and other financial establishments in numerous aspects of loan transactions.
