McGuireWoods Lawyer Knox Nunnally Elected Fellow in Texas Bar Foundation

February 24, 2015

K. Knox Nunnally, a McGuireWoods business and securities litigation lawyer, has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation, recognizing his professional achievements and contributions to the legal profession early in his young career.

Only 0.3 percent of State Bar of Texas members are invited to become Texas Bar Foundation Fellows. Once nominated, each must be elected by the TBF Board of Trustees. The Foundation has distributed more than $15 million across Texas to help nonprofit groups in a range of justice-related programs and services since its founding in 1965.

Nunnally, an associate in the firm’s Houston office, focuses his practice on energy and securities litigation, serving as lead attorney for both plaintiffs and defendants in more than 25 jury trials in state and federal courts.

For more than two years, he was a Harris County assistant district attorney in Houston. He is also a former U.S. Marine Corps captain who served as an infantry officer and a light armored reconnaissance officer. From his three deployments to Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star with the Combat V, the Purple Heart and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, each with a Combat V.

Nunnally is a 2001 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a 2009 University of Texas School of Law graduate.
