McGuireWoods Jacksonville Lawyers Named Florida Super Lawyers and ‘Rising Stars’ for 2015

Three lawyers from McGuireWoods’ Jacksonville office have been named Florida “Super Lawyers” for 2015, and another of the firm’s lawyers has been named among Florida Super Lawyers “Rising Stars.” The lawyer rating service Super Lawyers will publish this year’s survey findings in its Florida Super Lawyers magazine.

McGuireWoods’ 2015 Florida “Super Lawyers”:

  • Donald D. Anderson, Environmental Litigation. Anderson provides advice on regulatory compliance as well as strategic advice on the environmental, safety and health aspects of numerous business and real estate transactions, including hazardous substance or petroleum contamination and indoor air quality.
  • Scott S. Cairns, Employment & Labor. Cairns represents clients in a broad range of cases, often involving sensitive and high profile issues. His litigation experience has involved a wide variety of matters, including civil rights, employment, tort, and commercial litigation in trial and appellate courts across the United States.
  • Melissa W. Nelson, Civil Litigation: Defense. Nelson’s litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation, defense of Title VII and Title IX claims and white collar criminal defense. She represents management clients and college and university clients in matters related to sexual harassment, sexual assault, and sexual discrimination.

In addition, Sara F. Holladay-Tobias was named among Florida Super Lawyers 2015 “Rising Stars” in the practice area of Business Litigation. “Rising Stars” recognizes top up-and-coming lawyers who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 or fewer years.

Holladay-Tobias focuses on complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and financial services litigation. She is experienced in representing large and small clients in state and federal courts and a variety of arbitration forums, handling a broad array of business litigation matters.
