Crain’s Chicago Business Honors Amy Manning Among City’s Most Influential Women Lawyers

July 31, 2017

McGuireWoods partner Amy Manning was selected for Crain’s Custom Media’s inaugural “Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago” list honoring women who have led significant legal matters that shaped industry trends and set legal precedents. Honorees are featured in a special section published July 31 by Crain’s Chicago Business.

Manning chairs McGuireWoods’ Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation Department. She focuses her practice on criminal and civil antitrust matters and on complex commercial litigation, including class actions, breach of contract actions, civil RICO claims, multidistrict litigation, and litigation involving commodities, healthcare, real estate and intellectual property. She has more than 25 years of experience representing international and U.S. companies and individuals in federal and state courts and U.S. arbitration tribunals.

Manning is a co-founder of the Chicago Women Antitrust Lawyers Network, co-chair of the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law’s Committee Operations, chair of the American Diabetes Association Chicago Board, and a member of the Negaunee Music Institute Board of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

A sought-after commentator, she spoke about joint defense and common interest agreements in U.S. antitrust litigation at the ABA Section of Antitrust Law 2017 Spring Meeting — the largest antitrust conference worldwide.

In 2016, Crain’s Chicago Business recognized Manning among its “Who’s Who in Chicago Business” for the fourth consecutive year, and The National Law Journal honored her as an “Antitrust Trailblazer.” She has been ranked in the prestigious “Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business” guide for the past five years.
