William grew up in Plant City, Florida. After high school he attended the University of Florida, where he earned a B.A. in English in 2009 and became a “Double Gator” in 2013 when he earned his J.D.
While in law school, Will was a member of the Florida Moot Court Team, which allowed him to compete nationally in written and oral appellate advocacy. Will interned with the Honorable Ashley Moody of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and the Federal Public Defender’s Office. He was also a certified legal intern for the Public Defender’s Office for the Eight Judicial Circuit, which allowed him to practice law as a student.
He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2013. After admission to the Florida Bar, Will began practicing law at the Public Defender’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando, Florida. He represented hundreds of clients and successfully tried numerous cases in front of juries. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Will defended insurance companies in suits involving homeowner’s insurance benefits, bodily injury, uninsured motorist benefits, and wrongful death.
