Ginny joined McGuireWoods Consulting in May 2004 and re-joined in February 2012 as an assistant vice president of MWCAdvocacy. Ginny focuses on providing communications counsel and executing tactical elements of public relations and marketing communications initiatives.
She has significant healthcare experience, having spent six years serving as a strategic communications counselor in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
Prior to re-joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Ginny was the public relations manager for MedThink Communications, a healthcare communications agency, where she focused on developing and implementing social media engagement strategies on behalf of clients. She also worked for Ogilvy PR Worldwide's Feinstein Kean Healthcare, a boutique life sciences public relations firm in Cambridge, Mass., where she was responsible for designing and implementing disease awareness campaigns and data/regulatory communications. Additionally, Ginny worked at Ruder Finn Public Relations in New York, NY, where she focused on media relations and product communications.
As part of her experience with data/regulatory communications and strategic communications for life science companies, Ginny tracks Food & Drug Administration regulations and guidances related to advertising and promotion, including those concerning social media. She is also a contributor to McGuireWoods’ blog FDA Life, which covers news and trends impacting the FDA and life science industry.
