Hilary focuses her practice on healthcare law, representing healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, dialysis centers, and physician practices in healthcare transactions and healthcare compliance matters.
Before joining McGuireWoods, Hilary served as a litigation associate, focusing on complex commercial, antitrust, and administrative law matters at leading New England and Southern law firms, as well as corporate counsel for a healthcare revenue cycle company. She also gained legal experience as an intern at Medical Legal Partnership | Boston.
While earning her law degree at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Hilary externed at the Fourth Circuit and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She served as an editor on the North Carolina Law Review, the Pro Bono Board Alumni Outreach Coordinator, and a Dean’s Fellow. She was awarded the 2010 Gressman-Pollitt Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy: Best Appellant. As an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she was a Morehead-Cain Scholar and Public Service Scholar; she was awarded the 2009 Communication Studies Outstanding Achievement in Scholarship Undergraduate Award.
