Lena’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, toxic torts, and government investigations, with an emphasis on southwestern Virginia. Lena has experience representing corporate and individual clients in government investigations and counseling clients on the risks of criminal prosecution or regulatory enforcement actions. She has drafted pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs, and has conducted confidential witness interviews.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Lena served as a law clerk to the Honorable James P. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia in Abingdon and to the Honorable William C. Mims of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Before earning her law degree, Lena interned for the Honorable Pamela M. Sargent of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia in Abingdon and for U.S. Congressman Rick Boucher (Virginia’s 9th Congressional District).
