Connor H. Crews Associate

Connor's practice focuses on public finance.  He acts as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, bank counsel, and borrower’s counsel in a wide range of tax-exempt transactions. He has been involved in the issuance of private activity bonds, multifamily housing revenue bonds, and 501(c)(3) bonds for colleges, universities, and other nonprofits.  He also works on traditional governmental financings for cities and counties.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Connor practiced at a national law firm in Washington D.C. where he represented businesses and entrepreneurs in corporate transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and corporate reorganizations.  He also provided estate planning advice to low-income seniors on a pro bono basis.

Connor graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law.  While in law school, he served as Articles Editor for the Journal of Law & Politics.  He was a Senior Dillard Fellow in the Legal Research & Writing Program and received the Norton Rose Fulbright Best Memorandum Award.  He also worked as a research assistant for Professor A. E. Dick Howard.

Connor currently serves as a member of the University of North Carolina Young Alumni Leadership Council and the Greensboro Day School Alumni Board.
