Pol focuses his practice on real estate law and general commercial law, including fair trade practices and distribution. In addition, he also has experience in labor law and corporate law.

Pol regularly represents manufacturers and retailers in the Belgian market with respect to, amongst others, transactional and contentious real estate matters. He works with diverse clients (stock listed companies, small and medium sized enterprises, and public authorities) and covers a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, fashion, cars, interior design and cosmetics. Pol’s practice includes real estate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and lettings, including the negotiation of office and retail leases (high street and shopping center), assignment of business, renewals and terminations. The Legal 500 (EMEA 2014 edition) specifically recommends McGuireWoods' Belgian real estate practice.

In addition, Pol assists clients in distribution matters both in an advisory role and as litigator. Likewise, he often advises retail clients on compliance with Belgian fair trade practices legislation (marketing promotions, e-commerce, etc.).

He is trilingual (Dutch/English/French) and advises and negotiates in these languages on a daily basis
