George B. Davis Associate

George focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, specifically patent litigation. George has assisted clients with disputes in Federal district courts, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and state courts. He has represented clients in a number of technical areas, including mobile banking and e-commerce, residential security systems, food storage and delivery, motion capture technology in video games, and medical devices.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, George previously worked as a litigation associate with a Richmond-based law firm. His prior experience also includes working for a California-based law firm where his practice areas included civil litigation and workers compensation in addition to representing clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations. From 2009-2010, George interned as a public prosecutor with the office of the Roanoke County Commonwealth’s Attorney.

George has been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 2011.

Experience

Represented Fortune 500 banking client in multiple patent infringement cases involving mobile banking, content management, client/server architecture, and mobile payments.

Represented distributor in patent infringement case involving food delivery systems.

Assisted in the drafting and/or prosecution of over 100 patent applications for Fortune 100 telecommunications client.

Assisted a multi-national corporation in drafting a competition compliance manual for corporate offices in the EU.
