As a litigator, Ryan currently focuses his practice on business and securities matters. He assists a wide range of companies in all aspects of commercial
litigation and dispute resolution.
Before joining McGuireWoods, Ryan practiced as an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of an Am Law 100 international law firm. There, he worked on a
variety of cases, including Federal Trade Commission investigations, class-action claims, federal civil rights actions, and environmental and toxic tort
cases. He also maintained an active pro bono practice, including co-authoring an amicus curiae brief to the United States Supreme Court.
Ryan graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a Dillard Fellow and a member of the Articles Review Board of The Virginia Journal of Social Policy & The Law. Before attending law school, Ryan earned his Master’s Degree in Art History at the University
of Delaware and worked at the Smithsonian Institution’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
