Anita M. Foss Associate

Anita’s practice is focused on discovery services, particularly electronic discovery. Her experience includes advising clients on proper search term utilization to cull documents prior to review, managing large teams of attorneys on document review projects, implementing quality control procedures to ensure review accuracy and efficiency, and advising clients on their collection efforts in responding to discovery requests as well as government and internal investigations.

Anita’s experience includes in particular coordinating preservation, collection, review, and production for large-scale cases and regulatory investigations involving numerous custodians and millions of documents. She also advises counsel and clients on various discovery related issues including privilege, regulatory issues, document collection, and spoliation.

Prior to her work in the discovery services field, Anita’s practice at McGuireWoods focused on business and securities litigation. She regularly prepared pleadings and motions, drafted appellate briefs, conducted witness interviews and depositions, and represented clients in court.
