Brian serves as a vice president for state government relations. He assists clients with matters dealing with executive branch, legislative branch and regulatory/agency advocacy.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Brian served as a special assistant to U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson. In that capacity, his focus was on Department of Defense issues and managing constituency casework involving the Veterans Administration and the Internal Revenue Service. He was also a regional field director for Texas Governor Rick Perry's presidential campaign in South Carolina.
Brian is a Captain in the South Carolina Army National Guard and currently serves as the public affairs detachment commander for the 108th Public Affairs Detachment. In 2010, Brian was deployed to Afghanistan with the 1-178th Field Artillery Battalion and served as the unit's military intelligence officer in the Base Defense Operations Center.
