Eric enjoys helping manufacturers and retailers untangle the complicated legal and procedural questions that arise in consumer class actions and environmental litigation.

Eric earned his law degree from William and Mary Law School. In addition to serving on the William and Mary Law Review, Eric worked with the school’s student-run Academic Success Program, first as a teaching assistant for federal civil procedure and ultimately as the program’s lead coordinator. He was also an enthusiastic member of the school’s moot court board; in 2015, he and his teammate were finalists at Catholic University of America’s annual competition. As a member of the school’s pro bono appellate clinic, he argued an administrative law case on behalf of federal employees and their family members before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He and his clinic partner also drafted a petition for writ of certiorari in a civil rights case involving a homeowner arrested by an officer who later admitted omitting facts from his warrant application. The petition was listed among SCOTUS blog’s “petitions to watch.”

Before joining McGuireWoods, Eric served as a judicial clerk at the Court of Appeals of Virginia. He previously interned for a district judge at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Eric also interned for the Solicitor General of Virginia.
