John is an associate in the labor and employment department. John focuses his practice on employment litigation disputes, including defense of employers under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and state anti-discrimination laws.

Prior to joining the firm, John gained significant litigation experience as a judicial law clerk at the Supreme Court of Texas, where he assisted the court in resolving some of the most complex legal disputes in the state. He also gained experience in federal courts while in law school. As a member of the Appellate Litigation Clinic, John helped brief cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit. John also delivered oral argument in a civil appeal before the Fourth Circuit and persuaded the three-judge panel to reverse the trial court’s decision in favor of the Clinic’s client.
