Associate Board Member, Just the Beginning Foundation

Matt Gold’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and internal corporate investigations.

Before joining the firm, Matt served as a judicial extern for Justice Robert Steigmann of the 4th District Appellate Court of Illinois and Judge Arnold Blockman of the 6th Judicial Circuit of Illinois. As a student, Matt was a teaching assistant for Tort Law and Professional Responsibility courses. He earned CALI Awards for the highest grade in several classes such as Illinois Civil Procedure & Evidence.

Prior to law school, Matt interned for the City of Chicago’s Department of Buildings, the City of Chicago’s Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection, and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Community Service

Matt is a member of the University of Illinois College of Law’s Alumni Board, Just The Beginning – A Pipeline Organization’s associate board, and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers’ Board of Managers. Also, Matt judges high school debate tournaments within the National Forensics League.
