Karyn is an associate in the firm’s Debt Finance practice. Karyn’s practice focuses on the representation of agents and lenders in a diverse range of corporate finance transactions, including asset based lending, large syndications and debtor-in-possession financing.
Karyn also has extensive experience in large commercial restructurings, including the representation of debtors, agents and other investors in a variety of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and insolvency matters.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Karyn clerked for the Honorable Shelley D. Rucker in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. In law school Karyn served as the executive editor of the Georgia State University Law Review and interned with the Honorable Harris Hines at the Supreme Court of Georgia. Karyn is involved in a variety of community and civic activities. She serves on the regional boards for the Anti-Defamation League and Turnaround Management Association NextGen and is an active member of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. Karyn maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on political asylum matters.
