For more than a decade, Bobby has been assisting local, national and international companies satisfy their equal employment and non-discrimination obligations and defending them in litigation wherever needed. Whether through litigation defense, advice or counsel, revamping internal policies and practices, or conducting training, Bobby assists employers navigate complex and potentially dangerous areas of U.S. employment law.
Bobby’s practices focuses on advising clients on compliance issues associated with being a federal contractor; defending clients in enforcement litigation, investigations, and compliance reviews brought by the Department of Labor; and litigating employment and commercial cases concentrating on employment discrimination, torts, non-compete/trade secrets, and wrongful discharge.
While attending the University of Richmond School of Law, Bobby served on the Moot Court Board and Trial Advocacy Board. He also captained the University of Richmond Mock Trial Team and was a finalist in the Carrico Moot Court Competition. While in school, Bobby worked for LexisNexis teaching legal research and assisting his classmates with projects. He received the CALI Award for Scholastic Excellence in Torts.
As an undergraduate at Bob Jones University, Bobby was a member of the debate team where he received national awards and recognition. He was president of the Inter-scholastic Debate Association. He also served as a dormitory leader and a chaplain. He was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who Among America’s College and Universities.
Currently, Bobby volunteers with the Legal Aid Justice Center where he advises clients and litigates landlord-tenant disputes.
Defended a wide array of companies across the U.S. during Compliance Audits brought by the Department of Labor including successfully warding off show cause notices and defending alleged violations.
Represented telecommunications company in disability discrimination suit before the Kanawha County Circuit Court, West Virginia. Obtained defense verdict.
Represented transportation company in wrongful death/negligence suit before the Bamburg County Circuit Court, South Carolina. Obtained defense verdict.
Represented transportation company in negligence suit before the Hampton County Circuit Court, South Carolina. Obtained defense verdict.
Represented manufacturing company in discrimination suit before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Obtained summary judgment and secured monetary sanctions against the plaintiffs’ counsel under Rule 11.

Represented home improvement company in wrongful termination suit before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Obtained summary judgment.
Represented printing/graphics company in wrongful discharge/employment discrimination suit before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Obtained summary judgment.
Represented technology company in breach of contract/promissory estoppel suit before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Obtained summary judgment.
Prosecuted trade secret matter before the Hanover County Circuit Court, Virginia. Obtained favorable settlement.
Prosecuted trade secret matter on behalf of an automobile parts company before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Obtained favorable settlement on eve of TRO hearing.
Defended individual in non-compete litigation before the Circuit Court for the City of Williamsburg. Secured voluntary dismissal.
Defended multiple employers in discrimination suits in a variety of West Virginia state courts. Obtained favorable settlements.
