Mark represents clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration involving federal and state securities claims, banking and lending disputes, insurance coverage disputes, business torts and general commercial contract cases, and real estate disputes, including lienholder and landlord/tenant disputes. He has appeared in state and federal trial courts and has participated in numerous appeals on both the state and federal level. He also has extensive experience in complex and fast-paced commercial arbitrations, with a particular focus on dispute resolution within the confines of joint ventures.

Mark has represented financial institutions in various large-scale securities suits and class actions, including a multidistrict litigation arising from the collapse of an Italian food and dairy conglomerate, which required the defense of both federal and “blue sky” securities claims. He has also represented auditors in class actions arising from alleged misrepresentations and omissions in audit opinions incorporated in the financial statements of national banking institutions.

In addition to litigation, Mark is a member of the firm's unclaimed property practice and has represented clients both large and small in multistate unclaimed property audits. He counsels clients regarding an array of unclaimed property considerations, including state reporting requirements and exemptions, voluntary disclosure agreements, contract drafting and corporate formation considerations, and audits by state unclaimed property departments and their contingent-fee auditors. He also has extensive experience in advising clients regarding state and federal regulatory concerns relating to prepaid stored value cards and gift cards.

Mark was a law clerk for the Honorable Susan H. Black of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He was a Mordecai Scholar at Duke University School of Law and a member of the President’s Advisory Council, Omicron Delta Kappa and Quaternion Society at Furman University.
