Raphaël is a French qualified lawyer, member of the Paris Bar. He is also registered with the Brussels Bar as a Community lawyer.
Raphaël graduated in Digital Law from the Paris Descartes University and in European Law from the Brussels Institute for European Studies (ULB). He focuses, in a European framework, on information technology (IT) law, intellectual property (IP) and contract law.
Raphaël provides advice on all aspects of IT contracts, especially software-related contracts (supply, development, licensing, integration and outsourcing). He assists buy-side clients involved in complex technology projects, in both advisory and litigation matters. Raphaël also advises IT companies conducting innovative digital projects, including online sellers, software and cloud-computing providers.
Raphaël has acquired a detailed understanding of EU data protection regulations, which he regularly uses to configure cross-border data flows and resolve clients' issues related to privacy policies, notification to national data protection authorities, data sharing arrangements and processing contracts between data controllers, processors and sub-processors.
In addition to IT law, Raphaël has an in-depth knowledge of European IP law. He has worked on matters for clients across the cultural and entertainment industries. On a day to day basis, Raphaël manages and defends trademarks portfolios before the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, the EU national offices and the French and Belgian courts.
